| The Working Life.
So this is day 4 of full time working life post-college. Man, it's been great. I really enjoy my job and I love the environment I'm in and the people I work with. Transitioning hasn't been too hard.. the hardest part is waking up and getting to work by 9.. 9:15... and then not getting in a nap in the afternoon. It's not a hard transition cause.. well.. it's exactly like being in school.. haha. Working in a lab is pretty similar to taking a lab course.. I have a supervisor that tells me to do stuff.. and spends a lot of time teaching me.. and then I'm just running experiments all day. The time actually flies right by cause you're always doing something. I do however feel like I might be getting underpaid.. just a tad.. but I don't care that much because 1. they hired me and I had almost no experience with what we do in the QC lab and 2. I really enjoy work.. so it's not a big deal.
so remember kids.. find something you enjoy doing =)
granted.. it's only day 4. who knows.. a month for now I might be sick of it and want to quit..
but its better than hating it right off the bat like I did my old job...

| HELL YEAH! USA BASKETBALL!
|
| |
| Mmm... yeah the C's deserved it cause they played their asses off.. and the Lakers looked passionless. BUT SCREW YOU DOC RIVERS. SCREW YOU YOU BASTARD.
Someone need to knock Ray Allen on his ass and into the bleachers. There should be no way anyone can stand up to being stomped on like this. Just disgraceful. For crying out loud so some pride for your team. Show some pride... any little bit will do.

| Powe taking more free throws than the entire Lakers team? I can
understand if it's KG or Pierce.. but frickin Powe? You've got to be
kidding me.
Granted the Lakers defense was pretty pathetic.. Powe going the length of the court was not a happy sight. No one contested him... never the less:
Celtics:
45 perimeter shots
23 shots in the key
38 free throws
Lakers:
42 perimeter shots
41 shots in the key
10 free throws
Fact: Lakers should not be down 0-2

| Em has a story but these are the ones I personally experienced... I'm sure there will be more so I'll update as the day progresses.. it'll be more interesting when I get back on campus
Sungod story #1 I pick up Em and we're heading down to the beach.. and there's a guy skating around in just boxers... ugly skinny ass asian kid. How embarrassing.
Sungod seems to be that one time a year where people use it as an excuse to do stupid things....
Sungod story #2
I'm walking back to my apartment and I hear "Hey!" I look. "Hey! This is going to sound really weird.. but can we pee at your place?"
"Uh.. yeah sure..."
"And by we I mean her..." this girl that was drunk.. in the background I hear a third girl "Where are you guys going?" with the response "We're gonna pee at this guys house!"
So they come in they go one at a time... and they're all really nice... the drunk girl, her friend, and then a third girl that I didn't meet (I forgot their names already.. this happened 5 minutes ago) and they started asking me why I wasn't drunk or at sungod... told them I just got back from the beach with my gf... to which "Oh we're totally not trying to hit on you or anything..." lol? That definitely wasn't what I was thinking... but hahaha.. I thought that was hilarious. Talked to one of them for a bit while she was waiting for her friends... all very nice.. but all pretty out of it...
To be continued...
No more real interseting stories.. I jsut got a lot of Laker love cause I was walking around in my Bryant jersey. Speaking of which, hell yeah! Lakers move on to the next round =) Speaking of which...
(Disclaimer: I am in no way saying that all of Utah's fanbase is like this.. but the things I've seen and heard throughout this series at EnergySolutions Arena... very sad)
It's funny cause all I hear is this nonstop crying about how the refs cheated Utah out of the series and how the Lakers aren't the better team and there's some sort of conspiracy. GROW UP! I'm 100% sure that if another team had beaten Utah it would've been the same thing. And then they had the balls to chant refs suck throughout the game. Nono Utah fans... you lost the game for your team. You pissed the refs off. And then throwing trash at the Laker bench? Real classy... and here are some other instances of Utah classiness:

Warriors Players Heard 'Racial Slurs' From Jazz Fans
According to Stephen Jackson and Jason Richardson, Jazz fans crossed
the line and subjected both of them to "racial slurs" during Utah's
Game 2 victory. |

More detail on racial slurs
"If you can't read between the lines, you don't need to be asking these
questions," he said. "If I say too much, it's going to be a problem."
A reporter asked, "Is it a six-letter word?"
Jackson said: "Yeah. Exactly." |

Dikembe Mutombo hears racial slurs in Utah

Andre Kirilenko high fives a fan who got kicked out for "remarks" he made during a game
Though examples weren't cited, Blinebury also pointed out that
opponents have accused Jazz fans of going too far — "from taunting to
personal slurs. Even racial ones."
(Referee Bob Delaney) made certain Jazz superfan Dr. Richard
Anderson, the megaphone man who goes bonkers behind the basket,
received a "written warning card" for remarks he made in Game 3. Still,
Anderson got high-fived by Utah's Andrei Kirilenko while being escorted
out of the arena.

Jazz fans throw crap on the court
Should any of the few Jazz fans abysmally ignorant enough to throw
objects onto the court after the game's conclusion read this, I'd like
to personally assert that I hope you are never permitted into an NBA
arena again. Coaches and players have to keep their emotions in check,
for even the slightest wrong word earns them a hefty fine or worse. We
all know the frightful consequences that come of things being thrown at
players. About 99% of possible provocation is no grounds for a player
to go into the stands, and thankfully no one did tonight.
But those responsible for the projectiles that came soaring out of
the stands after San Antonio defeated the Jazz 91-79 should, for lack
of better or wittier terminology, be very ashamed of their behavior.
The athletes are the athletes, and as such we endlessly expect them to
not respond to antagonism. Still, it's preposterous to assume that just
because a fee for a ticket was paid that spectators are free to partake
in this kind of silly and classless temper tantrum. |

Utah fans grabbing at opposing players
When Baron Davis hit a shot-clock beating three-pointer from the wing
with about 10 1/2 minutes left, a fan reached toward his jersey. |

And it gets better!

Actually,
one fan did blame Kirilenko, commandeering a public address microphone
during halftime and using the arena loudspeakers to urge Jazz owner
Larry Miller to trade Kirilenko.
And by the third quarter, one Jazz fan was directing the same nasty verb used for the referees at Carlos Boozer.
Stay classy, Salt Lake!
